The Athens Recreation Center is a multi-use recreation facility that houses the Athens Park and Recreation and Cemetery Department Administrative Offices. The Rec. Center is located on Hwy 31 just North of Athens High School.

The Rec Center has a full size gym, multi-purpose rooms, and a raquetball court. There is also an outdoor walking track that goes from the Rec. Center, circles the High School, goes through Swan Creek Park, and circles back to the Rec. Center. The walking track also has an entrance to a bike/walking trail that connects to the Athens Sportsplex.

The Athens Recreation Center hours are:

Monday-Friday: 7:00AM-10:00PM
Saturday: 7:30AM-2:00PM
Sunday: 1:00PM-4:00PM

To reserve the multi-pupose A/B room come by the Recreation Center and fill out the rental form and pay by check or money order.
$15 hour for one side of the room
$25 hour for the whole room
