The City of Athens currently has five public parks for our citizens to enjoy. All Parks are open from 8:00AM-10:00PM Daily.
5th Avenue Park is located on 5th Avenue between Hine Street and Jefferson Street. 5th Avenue Park offers a playground, walking track, baseball practice fields, and a pavilion with a kitchenette.
Big Springs park is located just off Beaty Street and offers a playground, duck pond, tennis courts, and pavilion.
Lincoln-Bridgeforth Park is located on Hine Street between Washington Street and HWY 72. Lincoln-Bridgeforth park offers a playground, tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, and a pavilion.
Swan Creek Park is located next to Athens High School on Hwy 31. Swan Creek Park offers tennis courts, playground, horse shoe pits, and three pavilions. A walking track goes from the Athens Rec. Center to Swan Creek Park and connects to the new Greenway walking trail which runs from the Sportsplex to the High School.
The Wellness Park is located on West Washington Street and offers walking/biking trails, fitness stations, and a pavilion.
